- Make clear that it’s interactive! Give some sort of text prompt to encourage interaction
- Make your first interaction point as early as possible
- Incorporate branding/logo early
- Leverage UGC content to make content more relatable and trustworthy
- Viewer should be able to interact at least once every 2-4 seconds
- Give the viewer an option to skip to the destination
- When including the external link node that leads to the final destination URL, make entire screen the clickable hotspot area
Hooks 101
Creating a compelling hook at the beginning of your social media ad campaign is key to capturing attention and driving engagement. Here are some trending hook statements and questions that can be used to engage your audience:
1. Curiosity-Driven Hooks
- "I was today years old when I found out..."
- "Did you know that [interesting fact]?"
- "You won’t believe what happens when..."
- "This one simple trick will change how you [common activity] forever."
- "What if I told you that [unexpected outcome]?"
2. Problem-Solving Hooks
- "Struggling with [specific problem]? Here's the solution..."
- "Tired of [common issue]? Try this!"
- "Say goodbye to [problem] with [product/service]."
- "Finally, a way to [achieve goal] without [undesirable action]."
3. Emotional Triggers
- "If you care about [cause or value], you need to see this..."
- "This [emotion-driven story or statement] will make your day."
- "Feeling [specific emotion]? You're not alone..."

Paid Social Ads
- You’ll need to have a 10-15 second initial MP4, and your adventr project link
- Be sure to use vertical video!
- No hover effects
- Burnt-in captions highly recommended since social ads start muted
Display Ads
- Create 1 adventr for each display size
- Only use large banner sizes (eg. 300x600, 970x250, 320x480, etc)
Video Ads
- Use standard 16x9 dimensions
- Ensure there’s an interaction possible within 1 second
Email Marketing
- Text prompt in the email body that tees up interactive video
- Include a play button on the poster image
- Set project link to autoplay and fullscreen
